The TC•HDL cassette measures total cholesterol (TC), a measure of the total amount of cholesterol in the blood, and high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (referred to as the “good cholesterol”) TC•HDL also calculates the TC/HDL ratio and non-HDL cholesterol Point of care testing for cholesterol and related lipids, and blood glucose serve as diagnostic tools that provide information for immediate risk assessment and therapeutic monitoring of heart disease, inflammatory disorders and diabetes Lab-accurate quality: Meets National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) guidelines Accurate and reproducible: Certified by the CDC’s LSP and CRMLN programs* (the lipid testing accuracy standards) Flexible sample testing with fingerstick or venous whole blood, plasma or serum samples acceptable Cassettes must be stored in the sealed foil pouch Cassettes may be stored for up to 30 days at room temperatures Cassettes may be used until the date printed on the pouch when stored in a refrigerator (36 to 46°F / 2 to 8°C)
